Shashi Bhushan Rai is a seasoned automation and DevOps Engineer with over 10 years of experience in automation, DevOps tools, CI/CD pipeline, cloud and virtualization platforms, AWS, storage domain, and telecom domain. He has a strong expertise in working with PYTHON automation framework and has good experience with CI/CD pipelines, Jenkinsfile, AWS concepts, and implementation. He is also proficient in Shell, Groovy, Perl, and Python scripting and has experience on CI (Continuous integration), Jenkins pipeline implementation, monitoring tools like Grafana framework, Prometheus, and other widely used DevOps tools. Shashi has built, maintained, and continuously improved CI/CD pipeline to automate testing and release of critical services for product. He has extremely good knowledge of pipeline coding (declarative/scripted pipeline) and scripting capabilities to develop code for automation. He has created modules and subroutines for firmware and driver testing for the entire project and developed scripts for automated installation and performed customization of iso image of Linux for unattend installation for deployments. In terms of domain skills, Shashi has experience with AWS (EC2/Elasticache/RDS/IAM/S3/Cloudformation/ECS/EKS/Etc) and good knowledge of Cloudformation skills, Packer, and Terraform. He has hands-on experience of virtualization (KVM) on Linux and Vmware technology and SRIOV, Teaming, and ISCSI features of Network Interface Cards. He also has hands-on experience of HP servers and networking concepts like TCP, UDP, IP, DHCP, DNS and strong testing experience of LDAP for subscriber database management. Currently, Shashi is working as a Senior Member of Technical Staff at VMware where he designs and develops DevOps solutions using CI/CD, Jenkins, AWS, Git, and Artifactory. He troubleshoots and resolves issues in their development, test, and production environments and develops pipeline to integrate automated tests as part of CI/CD flow.
